Μέσα από φωτογραφικό και αρχειακό υλικό, video και ακουστικές εγκαταστάσεις, η έκθεση Madder and Madder and Hotter and Hotter ανατρέχει στις μαζικές διαδηλώσεις του 2020 στην Αμερική για τον George Floyd και επιχειρεί να συμβάλλει στην κατανόηση της μακράς ιστορίας φυλετικής βίας στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες. Ενα χρόνο μετά τη δολοφονία του Floyd, λίγες εβδομάδες μετά την καταδίκη του αστυνομικού Derek Chauvin, με τις δολοφονίες Αφροαμερικανών πολιτών να συνεχίζονται, και την αστυνομική βία στην Ελλάδα να αυξάνεται, η έκθεση φιλοδοξεί να μεταφέρει το πνεύμα, τις αντιφάσεις και τα αιτήματα των διαδηλώσεων, και να δημιουργήσει ένα πεδίο διαλόγου και σκέψης σχετικά με τους μηχανισμούς μέσω των οποίων θεσμοθετούνται και διαιωνίζονται οι φυλετικές και κοινωνικές ανισότητες.

Including photography, video and sound installations, documentary and archival material, Madder and Madder and Hotter and Hotter remembers and honors the 2020 uprisings for George Floyd and attempts to shed light on the history of racial violence in the United States. A year after Floyd’s murder, weeks after the guilty verdict for Derek Chauvin, with murders of African American citizens by the police continuing in the US and with police brutality on the rise in Greece, the exhibition seeks to convey to Greek audiences the spirit, complexity and demands of the protests, and create a space for reflection on the different mechanisms that institutionalize and perpetuate racial and social inequalities.
